FOOD + DRINK
For decades, we enjoyed classic Danish staples like weinerbrød, smorebrod and remoulade. Though it actually makes perfect sense, it was a complete coincidence for us that our now dear friend Claus Meyer created the New Nordic Cuisine movement for the city, country and region we had loved for years.
From Noma, the most important restaurant of the new millenium, to the never ending wave of modern bakeries, cocktail bars and cuisines from around the world, Copenhagen is now one of the most exciting dining destinations on the planet.

If you really wanna dive in, our friends over at MAD, Rene Redzepi's global non-profit have lent us their food + fun guide to Copenhagen. They give this to visiting chefs during their annual MAD Symposium. MAD's mission is to equip the next generation of food industry professionals with the knowledge, tools, and inspiration they need to make their businesses thrive, their industry fair, and the world’s food systems truly sustainable...and of course, make sure people are eating some damn good food.
This wonderful guide gives you the low-down by neighborhood. Enjoy...
