HISTORY
Camp Unger was inaugurated July 22-24, 2005 in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains. 20 years later, the camp reunion will take place in Copenhagen, a city that's been a part of Unger Family tradition since 1977. Guests can expect a weekend of food, drink and fun...with plenty of time left to explore. Grab your passport and bike helmet and meet us there!
Copenhagen became an Unger Family destination after Caryl and Harold Unger started collecting vintage Georg Jensen silver in the 1970's and brought 2-year old Seth and his parents, Laine and Artie, on a Scandinavian journey to visit the Georg Jensen factory, muesum and more. They became friends with the Museum Director, Michael Von Essen, and his wife June, who had a daughter, Sarah, who was the same age as Seth. And that kicked off a multi-generational friendship between the families. Since Jane and Georgia were 4 years old, Seth, Alli, and the twins visit Copenhagen every year or 2, and Sarah visits NYC annually.
